Tiril is the modern heavy winter parka in a straight silhouette with a generous faux fur-lined hood. The jacket is padded with Thermore® EVOdown®, a down imitation with exceptional insulating qualities. A waterproof membrane protects from heavy downpour, making Tiril a true survivor during those harsh winters lying ahead. If between sizes, choose one size down. Taslan is a durable and strong performance fabric. A wind- and waterproof membrane has been added to the back of the fabric. The surface has been treated with Bionic-Finish® Eco to prevent it from absorbing raindrops. Taslan was originally used for military uniforms due to it’s durability but is today used in a variety of products, from camping equipment to sportswear and is also the perfect choice for a modern city function jacket.

The hood originates from way back in history, during the medieval times. Hoods can be found in many cultures, where it has served different purposes. The Inuit people of the Arctic created the parka, that had large hoods which protected infants on their mother’s back. In Japan on the other hand, the “tatami zukin” was the kind of armor-plated hoods worn by samurai warriors in battle. A hood made of steel – literally.
